Why It Matters
Unless they specifically say they refrain from fossil fuel investment, retirement plans and index funds typically invest in fossil fuel companies like ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, and BP.
While a lot of times this is out of your control (especially with employer sponsored retirement plans), environmentally oriented apps and funds, make it easy to invest in sustainable companies.
